A long awaited blog post….

So it's been a long time….SORRY!!

 

My hands are full….I have a full plate….my kids are constantly in my face…..I have a million things to do every single day…and I don't see it stoppin'!!

So….I am going to MAKE myself type something at least once a week. We have done many things and things are changing fast in the Sanborn Household. So hold on tight and await the long awaited blogs!!!

I hope I don't get to boring for y'all!

Halloween and the Corn Maze

Miranda was a Hippie this year and Hayley was a Monkey! She obviously was not excited about getting her photo taken! Darn it! Miranda got a whole lotta candy (that she didn't need) and had fun doing it. Hayley was priceless..she would not let go of her candy bucket for the life of anything. She fell asleep with it! ;) The Corn Maze was fun as well this year. Hayley enjoyed the Corn box as did her sister. We made it out of the maze the right way this year and it only took us 1/2 hour instead of last years 2 1/2 hours!! UGH thank goodness! Enjoy the pictures.

Seattle trip

Well, let see what event should I post about....our Trip to Seattle. We took Miranda to her first (well and my first) Major League Baseball game in October. We went to a Mariners game and it was fantastic! Miranda got a foul ball at which she was very excited about and we went to the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma! It was a wonderful trip and it is beautiful in Washington! Not a bad place to move to either! ;) Enjoy the pictures. Well, let see what event should I post about....our Trip to Seattle. Kids say the darndest things!!!!

Yesterday, Sunday, Dec. 13th I was on the computer doing our Christmas cards when I hear Hayley and Danny in the kitchen planning something (yes, I said planning) all of the sudden Hayley comes to the door way between the kitchen and the living room and yells, "Getta cookin'" clear as a bell!! I never laughed so hard! She is a character and keeps me on my toes at all times!!! Stay tuned I'm sure there will be more from where that came from! ;)

I believe it has been about 5 months since I have updated this thing called a blog!! My New Year's resolution (well, one of them) will be to update this more frequently. A lot has gone on since my last post. Hayley was just starting to walk, now she is RUNNING full speed! She talks, she is full of ambition and a little quirky at times! She makes Dan and I laugh at the RANDOM things that she does. She is 18 months now! Wow how time flies. Miranda started 3rd grade and is doing well. She needs a little help with her attitude, talking back and thinking she is ALWAYS right or has to have the last word! Hmmmm....who does that remind you of......PAPA! We made a daily chore chart/behavior chart for Miranda about two or so months ago. It seems to be working a little but there needs to be something more! I just wish I was MAGIC!!! I have pictures to post and updates to give so be on the look out of what has been happening in the Sanborn family these last 5 months! Toodles for now!

So, Miranda was out playing outside with her friends and we (Danny, Hayley and I) went to the back yard for a little R&R and photo shoot!! ;) ENJOY!!

I am horrible at this posting and my mother-in-law emailed me yesterday and said I was bad..... SO I suppose I need to get a post on here since it's been since APRIL and it is now JUNE!!!! Life has just been peachy lately. We have pretty much been doing basball with Miranda and yard work!!! :) Dan and I planted a garden this year. (That will be a different post.) We also had our 2nd year anniversary!! WOW!! We took the girls to the Oregon Coast and the Oregon Aquarium it was much fun! Attached are pictures to peruse!!

Ice Skating

Miranda went ice skating with her Girl Scout troop the last Saturday of spring break. She had a blast!! I tried but oh man did it hurt! :) Do you have to mom? Twirling Getting their lesson GUESS WHO!!!!!

March Happenings......

We had a lot of different things going on for the month of March. We didn't do anything for Spring Break but I don't think that we will be able to as a FAMILY until Danny gets a new job or he's able to turn down the assistant manager duties. But that is ok for now!! * We had a visit from Jake, Traci & Kinna in March!! What fun we had!! Cousin Kinna and Hayley Kinna & Traci Kinna hammin' it up!! Granddad and Grandma * We finally had a great day to finally go outside and guess who loved it!!! * Hayley discovered a new friend!! "MaMa, that girl is so pretty!!" "Ha! I love my DaDa!!" Danny showing her the mirror! Oh, I think I will give her a kiss!! :)

Bathtime!!

It's been a long time since I have posted and I'm hearing a lot of complaints so I strive to try and post once a week. It's hard when you watch kids all day and then have a family to take care of!! :) This was quite a while ago when I started giving Hayley baths in the bathtub and oh boy does she love it!! She LOVES water!!!

Another milestone.....

On Saturday little miss pulled herself up on my ottoman! Yes, she can stand up; but, is still a little wobbly....we will have a walker soon....YIKES!! I thought crawling was enough and could last a little longer! :(

Hayley enjoys TRYING to feed herself now!!

So I knew it would come; but, I didn't know that it would be this soon! She loves to feed herself! Although, it ends up all over her and the floor but it is the cutest thing ever!! As you can see she loves it!!

A Trip to the ER!!!

It's about 8:30 pm Thursday, January 29 and Miranda, Hayley and I are in the living room while Miranda is reading to us! A normal weeknight when I noticed something odd with Miranda's finger (the one with the ring Danny gave to her on our wedding day); I grabbed her and and started to look because the ring looked a little cockeyed so I was going to fix it. Well,this was not the case! ;) As I was looking her finger was swollen (big) and I turned her hand around so that the palm faced up...the ring was bent in a V shape and was cutting the circulation off her finger!!! I asked her when she had done this and HOW???? She responds all teary eyed 2 days ago...TWO DAYS AGO!! Why the heck didn't you tell us??? I don't know! How....on the flag at school?????? HOW DID YOU DO THIS??? She said playing tag. WHATEVER not the point.....I yelled at Danny to come into the living room as he was in the bedroom watching TV. He came and took one look...WE HAVE TO GET THIS OFF. So he went and got a pair of dykes???(sp) Miranda was in tears it hurt that bad. Danny said I can't get it......so here we are on our way to the ER!!!!!! We got registered and the nurse took us to a little room and got the tool to put under the ring and to cut it off....SHE COULDN'T DO IT>.....the ring was too tight and Miranda was CRYING!!!! So a doctor....came in and looked at it and was going to try to do the same thing...NOT HAPPENING!!!!!! The had to SAW it off!!!! YES I said SAW it off.......I've never heard Miranda SCREAM like she did while he was SAWING it off!! Her finger looks lovely this morning because while they sawed it off they burnt her finger and the indentation of the ring is still there because it was THAT TIGHT!!! I could imagine what would have happened if I wouldn't have noticed it LAST NIGHT!! I asked her why she didn't tell us and she said I DON"T KNOW!! Do you remember telling your mom and dad that!!! UGHHHHH So we had a talk that she needs to start telling us things...because I told her her finger would have had to be cut off if I wouldn't have noticed it because it was cutting the circulation off of her finger!! LESSON LEARNED HOPEFULLY!!! We asked her if it had been hurting and she said yes....THEN WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL US!! LOL ;) Long story short....ONE HOUR in the ER and the ring was off...... We finally have a crawler!!

Hayley started "army" crawling 3 days ago! We are definitely in for it!

It's been 5 days.....

Since I have been dieting and exercising on my NEW Wii FIT!! :) (thanks MOM!!!) And I have lost 4.3 lbs!!! Yeah for me!! 5.7 lbs to go to my goal of 10lbs then we'll do it again!! I feel so much better too!!

Another tooth!!

Hayley finally got the other bottom tooth in...hopefully I will be able to get things done around here now!! She has been a BEAR!! I don't like teething! Still no pictures she won't let me! :)

So I posted a long time ago about my weight loss....it didn't go so well....so I have a new outlook on losing weight now! My mom bought be a Wii FIT!! I LOVE IT!! I started using it on Sunday and have continued! this is my third day! I try to do at least an hour a day so a 1/2 hour in the morning and then when all my kiddos are down for a nap I do another 1/2 hour...it is kicking my BUTT!! I started the Special K diet as well. I have lost 2.2 lbs!! AMAZING!! So keep your fingers crossed for me as I want to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks. I will make 2 week goals! My husband is being my MOTIVATOR!! YEAH!
