Simply Sanborns

It's about 8:30 pm Thursday, January 29 and Miranda, Hayley and I are in the living room while Miranda is reading to us! A normal weeknight when I noticed something odd with Miranda's finger (the one with the ring Danny gave to her on our wedding day); I grabbed her and and started to look because the ring looked a little cockeyed so I was going to fix it. Well,this was not the case! ;) As I was looking her finger was swollen (big) and I turned her hand around so that the palm faced up...the ring was bent in a V shape and was cutting the circulation off her finger!!! I asked her when she had done this and HOW???? She responds all teary eyed 2 days ago...TWO DAYS AGO!! Why the heck didn't you tell us??? I don't know! How....on the flag at school?????? HOW DID YOU DO THIS??? She said playing tag. WHATEVER not the point.....I yelled at Danny to come into the living room as he was in the bedroom watching TV. He came and took one look...WE HAVE TO GET THIS OFF. So he went and got a pair of dykes???(sp) Miranda was in tears it hurt that bad. Danny said I can't get it......so here we are on our way to the ER!!!!!! We got registered and the nurse took us to a little room and got the tool to put under the ring and to cut it off....SHE COULDN'T DO IT>.....the ring was too tight and Miranda was CRYING!!!! So a doctor....came in and looked at it and was going to try to do the same thing...NOT HAPPENING!!!!!! The had to SAW it off!!!! YES I said SAW it off.......I've never heard Miranda SCREAM like she did while he was SAWING it off!! Her finger looks lovely this morning because while they sawed it off they burnt her finger and the indentation of the ring is still there because it was THAT TIGHT!!! I could imagine what would have happened if I wouldn't have noticed it LAST NIGHT!! I asked her why she didn't tell us and she said I DON"T KNOW!! Do you remember telling your mom and dad that!!! UGHHHHH So we had a talk that she needs to start telling us things...because I told her her finger would have had to be cut off if I wouldn't have noticed it because it was cutting the circulation off of her finger!! LESSON LEARNED HOPEFULLY!!! We asked her if it had been hurting and she said yes....THEN WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL US!! LOL ;) Long story short....ONE HOUR in the ER and the ring was off......
